A ceiling that looks dry two days after a leak does not necessarily tell you whether the insulation or framing above it dried at the same rate.


Can a Brand-New Home Have Water Intrusion?


Yes. New construction relies on many interconnected systems to manage water, including roofing, flashing, windows, siding, foundation waterproofing, grading and plumbing. A weakness at any one of these points can let moisture reach materials that should stay dry.
